Why We See An Apple Is Red

Matter itself has no color. Color is not intrinsically an inherent property of the object itself, or more boldly, that anything is colorless. The reason why we see an apple is red is because the light reflected by it enters our eyes and stimulates our visual nerves, causing us to produce the perception of "red". So there are two processes involved: the physical process before the light enters the eye and the physiological (mental) process after the light enters the eye.
