China's packaging industry has a large space, the paper packaging industry concentration is still low
 
In 2018, the total revenue of main business of enterprises on the packaging industry in China was 970.323 billion yuan, down 17.20% year-on-year.
The total profit was 51.565 billion yuan, down 25.62% year on year.
Among them, the revenue of paper packaging enterprises is 291.905 billion yuan, accounting for 30.08% of the whole packaging industry.
Compared with 37.57% of the global market in 2016, China's paper packaging market still has room for improvement.
 
China's leading enterprises in paper packaging market share gradually increased, but the industry pattern is still very scattered.
According to the estimation, in 2016, the north American paper packaging market size is about 54.6 billion us dollars, with the top five leading enterprises InternationalPaper, WestRock, GraphicPackaging, PackagingCorpofAmerica and Cascades accounting for 71.71% of the market.
From 2013 to 2018, the market share of the top five domestic paper packaging enterprises increased from 2.85% to 10.52%. Although the trend gradually improved, compared with the industry pattern of the north American market, the concentration degree still has room for improvement.
