Following Barnetson’s presentation, the panel discussion ‘What is the real carbon impact of the packaging industry and what action is being taken? ’ will feature Tim Barbary, business owner and company director at Benchmark Consulting alongside Barnetson; John Garner, head of innovation & design, Antalis and, via Zoom, Ed Roberts, global sustainability leader at protective packaging specialist Sealed Air. 

Roberts represents Sealed Air on a number of NGO committees including EUROPEN Sustainability & Regulatory Affairs Committee, EUROPEN Task Force on Food Waste, EUROPEN Task Force on Circular Economy, and AISE Packaging Taskforce. 

Nottingham-based packaging software and consulting firm Benchmark launched a business to business carbon calculator this year.
