A lack of policy certainty has undermined planned investment by SUEZ. Not knowing when consistent collections will happen or when modulated fees and EPR come into play, might impact on post-consumer feedstocks.

In the last two years, we have invested over £1m in The Ecosurety Exploration Fund, which seeks to accelerate the change to a more sustainable world through funding innovative projects that reduce the impact of packaging and products.

It means we would need to change our sites and solutions. We have been mapping likely feedstock changes and the impacts on our existing Transfer Stations and MRFs. We are also mapping out changes to each site to meet the expected demands of our customers from 2024-25 onwards.

TerraCycle Europe has invested in Evreka`s waste management tracking software to allow third party certification of our recycling claims beyond any standards we`ve seen within the waste industry. We have also invested in new equipment at our UK processor, and in our Recycling Hub in France, both of which have allowed us to further scale our recycling capacity.

In April, Ecoveritas was acquired by its existing leadership team in a management-led buyout. Moving forward, we will also be able to extend our offer with new services and markets that make it easier for businesses to identify those areas of the supply chain that will benefit most from increased investment to boost recycling rates.
